Starting October 1, WriftAI will collect sales tax on purchases from Canadian customers, as required under Canadian federal and provincial law.

Billing address is now required

Starting October 1, all customers must provide a billing address before adding a payment method, not just customers in Canada. This address will also help us determine whether Canadian sales tax applies to your account.

If you already have a billing address on file, there's nothing to do.

If you don't, add one before then. Without it, auto-reload, top-ups and new payment methods will be blocked until you do.

Tax on receipts

Every receipt from October 1 onward will itemize the tax separately. Receipts and invoices before October 1 are unaffected.

Tax IDs

Your billing address can also include a Tax ID: an SSN or EIN in the US, a SIN or Business Number in Canada. Add one and it will print on your future receipts and invoices.

Pricing and the credit system are unchanged.

Full billing mechanics are in the billing documentation. Questions about your account or this change: support form or Discord.
